October is out, people!

Thursday, October 30, 2008

Whee!

Pisay people probably know this, but I'll post it here for the sake of updating.

There will be classes tomorrow, but only during the morning. No shortened periods.

I'm really happy now. No Physics! :D

-----

At first, I really thought that this day would be really horrible. The venues are bad. And Physics (See how much I abhor that subject?) was supposed to take Potassium's only lunch break.

But actually, this day turned out pretty well for me.

Cheers.

Why? :(

According to a friend of mine, Pisay will still have classes on Friday. Seriously, that really bites.

I bet that Pisay is the only school with classes right now. I went to Shopwise today and a little girl saw me. She then asked her mom, "Mama, may pasok pa sila?"

Come to think of it, a lot of people were staring at me. Must be the uniform.

I wonder why Pisay always has to be different. Even the schedule and length of the sem break is different. What's the point of a sem break if you can't even spend time with your friends from your old school since you had your sem break too early? :(

My family is going to Holy Cross tomorrow to visit my grandfather's grave. And obviously, I can't come along. And we were supposed to go to Malabon to visit the graves of my relatives (Mom's side). And again, I won't be there. :(

----- Filled

I am a monster. A taco monster. A chocolate monster. Feed me. :)

-----

I haven't done anything but eat and sleep and watch kiddie movies for this day. On the other hand, I did read a page from Campbell a while ago. It's all about blood transfusion and diseases in the immune system. Pretty interesting, I must say.

And my English handout is missing. Checked my bag already. And I don't recall taking anything out of my bag two days ago or yesterday. Gah, I need to be more organized.

-----

I can't believe that my brothers don't have to wake up early tomorrow for school. I'm going to be all alone. But then, that means that I don't have to race with anyone just to use the bathroom. :))

-----

I still think that the caf is a bad venue for classes. Same goes for the poolside and the mezzanine and the second floor in the BRHA.

-----

Crammer out. :)

Week 1: Finally Over

This week has been very interesting.

Most of the teachers gave me the impression that they're also suffering from hangovers from the really short sem break. Not much homework was given (and I'm definitely not complaining)! :D

-----

I just realized...

Third year is already more than half over. I'm not really sure if I'm happy about that. :

Random Facts

Sir Daj told us that we're going to have softball for the third quarter. That's great but I have no glove. And I'm not even sure if Pisay has one meant for me (left-handed person). And if it does, God knows how old it is. All sorts of organisms must inhabit it.

Sir Daj also told me that he doesn't like the venue of the prom. He said that our batch should change it to something better. He actually prefers the school gym over Celebrity! I'm not really sure if the fourth years totally agree with him, but some of them have voiced out their negative feelings about the venue and date. Good luck to the batch council and prom committee, I guess. They're under a lot of pressure now.

We're going to study organic chemistry instead of thermodynamics and -insert other lesson here-. Sir Manoop said that they decided to change it so that there will be a lot of time for the lab activities.

They sell KFC food in the caf now. (Yummy!) :D -gets killed by Ada Suarez-

No offense meant to those who like it, but I think that Memoirs of a Geisha is boring. The pacing is so slow. And I'm an all out supporter of equal treatment between both sexes so... :

It's Day 2 with the "temporary" schedules and I'm still alive. :))

We're supposed to do something for Physics, I think. Groupwork? I'm not sure though. I wasn't listening. -gets killed by good students-

And the biggest surprise...I didn't fall asleep in any of my classes! That's an achievement! :P

This year has turned out to be pretty interesting.

The Pisay fire did more damage than what I had expected. To be perfectly honest, I didn't expect that it would cause so much trouble. Of course I knew that some of the teachers lost a lot of their valuables and written requirements from their students, but I never expected it to affect the schedule of activities for this year.

Exams were delayed.

The sem break came earlier. It was also shortened to one week. :(

And now, even the venues of most of our classes have been changed. The SHB is still off limits due to obvious reasons. I still can't imagine what will happen tomorrow with the new schedules. This is bound to be fun. :))

It's almost over!

It's the third to the last day of my semestral break. And I spent most of it bumming around and sleeping. I'm not complaining though. I was able to rest and relax.

--------------

Everyone's in the retreat right now so only a few people from my batch are online. Aw... The people in the retreat are probably having some activity right now. I doubt that they'll open palancas at this time. It's still too early.I do wonder if anyone will cry when they read the palancas. I'm not sure if this applies to all schools but almost everyone cried during the retreat in Poveda (including me).

--------------

Congrats to Jejo for placing 8th in the press con. At least your to-do list in Pisay has been shortened!

Jejo, you have to make me libre on Monday. One bottle of Coke, okay? :D

Ravenclaw!

I saw this in Aldrich's blog. It's a good time-waster. I still can't believe that the second best choice for me is Hufflepuff, followed by Gryffindor, and then Slytherin.

I always thought that I belonged in Gryffindor. I guess not.

The sorting hat says that I belong in Ravenclaw!

Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose intelligence is surest."

Ravenclaw students tend to be clever, witty, intelligent, and knowledgeable.
Notable residents include Cho Chang and Padma Patil (objects of Harry and Ron's affections), and Luna Lovegood (daughter of The Quibbler magazine's editor).

Day 4

This day would be more interesting if I had some place to go or someone to chat with. -checks YM list-

Gimmicks, anyone? :))

-----

Watching the last episodes of ROD has taken its toll on my eyes, I think. Since it isn't as cool as Death Note or Code Geass (Sorry, ROD fans.), I'll just continue watching later. I'm only three episodes from finishing the entire series.

-----

I checked my mail and someone in the pisaydiliman group (in Multiply) posted something about a rivalry between Pisay and Kisay/Que Sci. Since I had nothing to do, I checked the issue out. All that I managed uncover was a comment page for Pisay (in Wikimapia) where people from both factions badmouthed each other.

For one, I didn't even know that a rivalry between Pisay and Kisay existed. Actually, I'm not even sure if this is anything serious. From the looks of the comments, the Kisay people (or whoever posted the "Pisay students suck!" comments [they mainly attacked the students instead of the school]) were probably bored and they didn't have anything better to do. However, if their intention was to attack the school and its students, they did not do a very good job. For instance, their arguments are too shallow and one-sided.

This "rivalry" is extremely immature and childish. I don't see why we should compare both schools or its students. You can't say that all Pisay students are nerds or geeks or dorks. (There will always be geeks or nerds or dorks in any school.) You also can't assume that all students from Kisay post poisonous comments on the internet just to look for trouble. (I know a few students/graduates from Kisay and they are all decent people.)

Pisay people and Kisay people are smart (perhaps even brilliant). No questions about that. However, it's about time those people who keep on badmouthing each other stop this childish act and start acting like the smart people they really are.

Is it safe to leave?

I'm not entirely sure if I can officially kiss this blog goodbye.

It was fun posting here but I think it's time to return to my LJ -points to sidebar-. That blog came to existence when I was still in first year and I have no intention of abandoning it. Even though a lot of people find it more convenient to blog in Multiply, I still love LJ more.

So, farewell for now?

Hibernation?

Should I blame it on the coffee?

I haven't done anything for the past two days but:

sleep
wake up
eat something
sleep

Plus, I have a headache...from too much sleep? X_X
